It is an investment life insurance service for growing savings for your child to start independent life. Starting paying monthly insurance premiums at early age of your child, you will be able to save more for your child's future.

How does it work?

  • You allot money for your child's future. Minimum monthly amount is EUR 30.
  • We take care of investments. Individual investment strategy tailored to your needs.
  • We insure your life – in case of your death, we will pay the remaining insurance premiums as stipulated in the insurance rules.

    In the event of your death the remaining amount will be paid for you to this contract by Swedbank Life Insurance SE. The sum of the remaining payments will be calculated as follows: the monthly insurance payment (maximum EUR 100) multiplied by the number of full months remaining until the end of the term.

  • A very convenient way to save your child's state-paid money.
  • Others, e.g., grandparents or godparents, can contribute to savings. It can be a meaningful birthday present for a child. (download a voucher ).
  • Access to a PIT relief and a refund of the contributions paid.

    The State encourages this saving method and applies tax rebates for accumulative life insurance premiums. Therefore, every year you will be able to benefit from the rebate on the income tax of individuals, and recover up to 20 % of the total premiums paid.* The maximum amount of the tax premiums paid per year from which the tax payer can recover 20 % is EUR 1500.

  • To be able to save more, you can increase the monthly insurance premium at any time.
  • Should you have any financial difficulties, you can also reduce the premium at any time.

    In addition, there is an option of a 5% annual indexation of the periodic payment. This means that every year during the term of the Secure Child Fund Contract your payment will be increased 5%: having started from a minimum amount, you will save more with time.

  • Guaranteed amount in the end of the agreement.

    The amount of the guarantee is not paid if the contract is terminated or otherwise expires ahead of schedule.

Upon conclusion of the Secure "Savings for Child’s Future" Contract, an investment strategy tailored to your needs and accumulation term will be selected. Normally, investment strategy at the beginning of accumulation is more risky to enable your fund to earn money. Afterwards the risk is gradually reduced to preserve the accumulated funds.

At the beginning of the Contract term more risk is assumed by investing into equities (shares). Then the investment risk is gradually reduced by transferring part of the investment to bonds. This provides more security for the accumulated amount at the end of the term.

The investment structure uses asset classes and the distribution between investment lines:

Investments in this asset class consist mainly of equity securities (equities) from developed markets, but may also include a small proportion of equity securities (equities) from emerging markets. Manage savings contract in your internet bank:

Please visit Swedbank branch or call to Consultation Centre in case of:

  • You want to terminate contract it can be done at the branches of the bank or via internet bank having previously called Consultation Centre. Before you do that please take into account, that:

    • If the contract hasn’t been in force for at least 5 years, you will have to pay a fee according to Price list.
    • Guaranteed-amount condition will not be valid.
  • Indemnity payout out at the contract maturity. The person for whom the savings were created should submit an application for indemnity payout in internet-bank or in any Swedbank branch.

Administration fee

The administration fee is discounted from the investment value of the agreement

1.25% annual fee.

A 10% discount applies when the cumulative investment value is > EUR 10,000.

The fee is calculated monthly on the investment value of the agreement and is deducted from the investment value of the agreement.
Guarantee fee 0.20% – annual fee. The fee is calculated monthly on the amount of the guarantee and is deducted from the investment value of the agreement.
Risk fee 2.50% – monthly fee, up to a maximum of EUR 2.50. The fee is calculated each month on the amount of the monthly contribution (the risk fee applies to a maximum contribution of EUR 100/month).
Agreement termination fee

1.0%, but not more than EUR 50.

The fee is waived 5 years after the date of conclusion of the agreement.

The fee is calculated on the investment value of the agreement and is deducted from the investment value of the agreement.
Fee on the payment of the share of the investment value

1.0%, but not less than EUR 20.

The fee is waived 5 years after the date of conclusion of the agreement.

The fee is calculated on the investment value of the agreement and is deducted from the investment value of the agreement.

After the payment of the investment value portion, the remaining investment value of the agreement must not be less than EUR 300.

During the term of the agreement, the company reserves the right to modify the standard fees for the management of the agreement in accordance with the rules.

  • Important! When paying an additional insurance premium, you must indicate your personal identification number.
  • Please note that when an insurance premium is paid by a person other than the person who has concluded the agreement, this premium will not be subject to the Personal Income Tax rebate and will not be included in the calculation of the respective tax refund.
