How to order?

  • Simple and fast order of a card from the Internet bank.
  • Your card will be delivered in 7 working days by post, to your chosen address.
  • Agreement of your received new or replaced card sign by logging onto Internet
  • Having received your new card by post, you will see your PIN code during card activation in Internet bank.
  • A new card must be activated within 30 days from its order, while a renewed card must be activated within 60 days from the day of expiry of the old card. If you fail to activate the card within the established term, you will lose the possibility to do it later.
  • Destroy your old card safely (e.g. by cutting it).

Conditions for applying the fees:

  1. A fee is applied for the card pickup at the branch when issuing a new, renewed, or replaced card or upon the customer’s request. The fee will be deducted upon card activation, regardless of whether the card is included in the service plano.
  2. Fee is debited when activating new, renewed or replaced debit card (if the card is not included in the service plan). For the card issuance fee, we will deliver the card to you by post to the address you provided at no additional cost. Renewed debit card can be sent by post without separate customer request by Swedbank decision.
  3. For urgent card delivery, standard card issuance fee applies additionally (if card is not added into service plan), or card pickup fee at the branch, depending on chosen method of card delivery.
  4. The card will be delivered to the bank's branch or to the address indicated by the customer in Lithuania by a courier:
    • on the next working day, if the card was ordered before 1:00 p.m.;
    • within two working days, if the card was ordered after 1:00 p.m.
  5. The fee for cash withdrawals from ATMs and other locations where this service is provided will be deducted on the 15th day of the next month.
  6. Information about the BANKOMATAS.LT network and partners providing cash withdrawal services with cards issued by Swedbank, AB is available at www.bankomatas.lt.
  7. When card transaction is made in currency other than euro (including a cash-out with a card), conversion to euro is being calculated using „Mastercard International“ currency exchange rate at transaction processing day and increasing the amount by value stated (2,45%). The currency conversion calculator (for Mastercard transactions) is available on the Bank's website https://www.swedbank.lt/private/home/more/calculator may be used to calculate exchange rates.
  8. At your request, the general daily transaction limits (excluding the cash deposit limit at ATMs marked with the Swedbank logo) may be adjusted.

We want to make online shopping safer for you. That’s why the internet shopping option must be activated in case of each Mastercard card that has been issued by Swedbank and are used to make purchases online.

  • Before you make a purchase online, make sure the store is safe.
  • Try to find out more information about merchant. Every website should have information about the name and location of the company and an e-mail address and telephone number to use, should you have any problems. There should also be information about deliveries and returns, the procedure for submitting complaints as well as warranty terms and conditions. Don’t fall for discounts that seem to be too unrealistic.
  • Use a welcome text in the Internet shopping programme that is as personalised as possible. Every time you make a purchase online, ensure that the welcome text is the same as the one you set when you signed up to the programme.
  • If you only rarely make purchases online using your bank card, we advise you to activate the Internet shopping option only for the moment of making the purchase.
  • In case of renewed or replaced card the linkage to the selected e-wallets and various service providers will be retained when you activate your new card.
  • New! Check your payment card details within our app. Easily access your card number, expiry date, and CVC/CVC2 code for all your active cards.
  • You can protect your money by choosing usage limits that suit you.
  • You can set separate limits for purchases, cash and payment transactions.
  • You can change Usage Limits in Internet bank under My Cards or in the Swedbank app.
  • You can also increase your limits temporarily if necessary.
  • Make sure you always know where your bank card is. If you pay by card, do not let the person serving you take it to a back room on their own, because your card data can be stolen.
  • If you lose your card, immediately block it via the mobile app or internet bank. You can unblock or replace the card within 10 days.
  • It is not recommended, to send your card number by post or give it on the telephone when making a purchase, because your card data could be used for fraudulent transactions, but if there are no other possibilities, please, be extra careful.
  • Be careful when using the ATMs of other banks. Some ATMs return your card before dispensing the money. Make sure you have your bank card and the requested amount of cash before you leave the ATM.
  • Only the person whose name appears on the card, may use the card. Do not let anyone, even a close person, to use your card.
  • Always check the transaction amount that you are approving with the card.
  • Follow up your card transactions regularly in your internet bank or in the Swedbank app. If any transaction seems suspicious, please contact the bank.
  • When you get your bank card, you will also receive a PIN that is known only to you.
  • Memorise it, do not write your PIN on the card or anywhere else where it can be seen by others.
  • New! You can now check your card’s PIN code in Swedbank app. Its easy and will help you greatly if you forget your original PIN or cannot remember it after changing. Your PIN is visible to you only, not even bank employees are able to access it. These security measures are ensured by a special solution, meeting highest security standards set by PCI Security Standards Council, and organization of Mastercard.
  • Do not tell or show your PIN to anyone, not even to bank employees.
  • Try to enter your PIN so that no one else can see it, because your card could be stolen and used by somebody else. If the payment with a stolen card is confirmed with the PIN, it is the customer’s liability.
  • If you suspect that your PIN has become known to someone else or if the bank has notified you of the need to change your PIN, you must change it immediately. You can do so at any Swedbank ATM.
  • When selecting your PIN, do not re-use your old PIN. Do not use identical codes for different cards for the purpose of memorising them.
