Casco insurance

From 20-10-2022, no deductible will be applied in the event of a direct collision with animal (including bird) during a traffic accident, if the relevant authority was notified in accordance with the procedure established by the legislation in force at the location of the incident. This provision will apply to vehicles with a maximum permissible mass of up to 3.5t.

This applies automatically to all new and existing CASCO insurance contracts regardless of which insurance package you have chosen.

What is all-risk insurance?

Wide risk insurance means that covers any damage caused by any sudden unforeseen event, except those excluded in conditions (e.g. insured vehicle was driven by a drunk driver, the driver did not have the right to drive a vehicle of the respective category, or the vehicle or its parts were worn or corroded).

Wide risk covers Any sudden and unexpected event. For example fire, traffic accident, vandalism, natural disaster, vehicle collision with a wild animal, theft or robbery, which results in the insured object getting damaged or destroyed, except those excluded in terms and conditions.

Accessories insurance (e.g. roof rack, wheel rims, light trailer) Items permanently attached to the vehicle and a light trailer without cargo (maximum weight 750 kg), roof rack or -box, bike or ski rack, child's safety cot or safety seat, removable GPS equipment and plate number. An extra set of tyres or wheel rims kept in a locked place are also insured as accessories.
24-hour roadside assistance in Europe Roadside assistance will be provided to you on the road if you are not able to start the vehicle, get a flat tire, run out of gas, lock the car key inside the vehicle, get in a road accident, or the vehicle has broken down and, therefore, needs to be transported to a repair shop or storage location.
0 EUR deductible for glass damage We will repair or replace your damaged car windows without deductible. The glass of exterior mirrors, sunroof and panoramic roof are also covered. Original parts will be used for cars which are up to 3 years old.
Collision with animal (including bird) without deductible No deductible will be applied in the event of a direct collision with animal (including bird) during a traffic accident, if the relevant authority was notified in accordance with the procedure established by the legislation in force at the place of the incident.
New car value insurance The agreed value of a vehicle with a maximum permissible mass of 3.5 tons will not decrease during the first year following the initial registration of the vehicle.
New original manufacturer’s spare parts for cars of up to five years of age. We will also take care of new original manufacturer‘s glasses for cars of up to three years of age New original spare parts are used to repair vehicles that are up to five years old, unless the parts that need to be replaced do not comply with the standard or are not original parts. Also, we may use non-genuine glass when the windows of a vehicle that is more than three years have to be replaced.
Damage or theft of personal belongings out of the car in case of an insured event Your personal belongings inside the car are insured, in case they will be stolen or damaged in an insured event. This includes items in the roof box and bicycles fastened to or on top of the car using security devices. The maximum compensation is €1,200 per insured event with a 50 € deductible.
Loss of or damage to keys In the case of loss, theft or robbery of keys or alarm remote control, we will reimburse the cost of keys and alarm remote control recoding, or if that is impossible, the replacement of locks. The deductible in the case of loss of keys is € 50.
Transport costs to and from repair shop In case you can drive your car to a repair shop, we will indemnify for the cost of transporting the vehicle to a repair shop and bringing it back (i.e taxi receipts) up to 50€ per case.
Personal accident insurance for you and other passengers If you or the passengers in the vehicle are injured in an insured event which causes you or the passengers a temporary or permanent incapacity to work, or death, we will pay out the accident insurance indemnity. Sum insured per person is € 10 000, daily allowance € 30.
Trip interruption In the event your trip is interrupted due to an insured event (unexpected technical failure, key loss or theft), we will compensate the justified expenses, which you and the persons travelling with you experience on your way home, and if you do not have the possibility to return home on the same day, we will cover the accommodation expenses. Insurance expenses are necessary and smart expenses.
Replacement car If you are no longer able to use the car due to an insured event, we will reimburse for the cost of renting a replacement vehicle or for other transport expenses approved by us. The renting expenses will be reimbursed for the period not longer than 30 days per one insured event. You can choose the maximum reimbursement per day - either € 30 or € 60. CASCO insurance provides voluntary vehicle insurance, which will compensate damages incurred to the vehicle. The insured car may also be driven by other persons entitled to drive.

Print out the traffic accident notification form and place it into your car. This way you will have it at hand, should an accident occur.

Before travelling abroad with your car, make sure that CASCO insurance is valid in the countries you will be driving in.

  • Ask a personal offer for your company.
  • Payments can be made on a monthly, quarterly, half-year or yearly basis, without the frequency of payments affecting the size of the insurance premium.
  • The policy is available in the internet bank 24/7.
  • We will ask you to submit photos of the vehicle or have a vehicle inspection carried out within 3 days after issuing the policy.
  • The photos should be taken during the daylight hours and the car should be clean.
  • It is important that the date on which the photos were taken can be identified on the photos.
  • Provide the following photos:
    • Diagonal view of the front, showing the front number plate.
    • Back diagonal showing rear number plate.
    • Interior photo of the central console.
    • Separate photos of any damages.

Call the Emergency Centre (112) if:

  • people are injured;
  • you do not reach an agreement about the fact who caused the accident;
  • the vehicle or parts of there have been, stolen or robbed;
  • you have caused damage to someone, but you do not know who owns the vehicle or property;
  • third-party property is damaged or more than two cars are involved;
  • the situation includes a fire or an explosion;
  • environmental pollution may occur.
