Lithuanians trust Hansabankas most of all

According to an opinion poll conducted by market analysis and research agency, RAIT, nearly every second Lithuanian trusted Hansabankas most of all banks. Compared with other banks, Hansabankas came first with 49.3% of respondent saying that Hansabankas was the most trusted bank. In the second half-year of 2004, customers’ faith in Hansabankas experienced a 1.3% rise.
According to the said poll, Vilniaus Bankas came second (with 19.2%) followed by Nord/LB Lietuva and "Snoras" (with 9.2% and 6.2% respectively).
The poll was conducted at the close of 2004 and quizzed 1,100 Lithuanians aged 16- 74.
Among the respondents’ mentioned reasons why people trusted Hansabankas most of all were Hansabankas’ high attention paid to its customers (36.3%), positive banking service experience by respondents’ friends and acquaintances (24.2%), availability of an internet bank facility and the bank’s modernity (14.5%) and a long track record of banking with Hansabankas (12.3%).
