In May, Hansabankas launched a campaign titled "Green City", during which Bank employees planted trees in parks, squares and other public places of Lithuanian towns and cities. 2500 tress are set to be planted in all cities and towns, where Hansabankas offices are present. This number corresponds to the size of the entire staff of Hansabankas group. Tress will be planted in 13 cities and towns.

Hansabankas has undertaken this initiative feeling its social responsibility and wanting Lithuanian cities to be more ecologically healthy and green. The bank also seeks to create such an environment, which is friendly and good to live in, both for the present-day people and future generations.

"Planting of trees symbolizes vitality that is one of essential Hansabankas' corporate features. We are hopeful, therefore, that every tree planted by us will contribute to the creation of higher quality of life across Lithuania", - says Giedrius Dusevicius, Chairman of Board of Hansabankas.

Hansabankas plans continuing this campaign next year: take care of the planted trees and flowers, prepare them for winter and take other necessary actions.

Hansabankas belongs to Hansabank Group, the largest financial service group in the Baltics, whose strategic investor is Swedish bank, Swedbank. Lithuanian Hansabankas group consists of Hansa Lizingas, Hansa Gyvybes Draudimas (life assurance company), Hansa Investiciju Valdymas (an investment management company), Baltijos Autolizingas, Hansa Draudimo Brokeris (an insurance brokerage company) and Hansa Valda.
