- How to apply for a payment card?

Currently, Swedbank offers the following options:
- via internet bank;
- by phone (1884 or +370 5 268 4444, for applying of debit Maestro or Visa Electron cards);
- over-the counter at Swedbank branch.
- How long does it take to issue a payment card?

A payment card is usually issued within 5 (five) business days.
- Where is a payment card issued?

A payment card is issued in the same Swedbank branch, which was named by client.
- What amount can be withdrawn at ATM in a single transaction?
-
Any amount ranging from LTL 20 (minimal) to LTL 4,000 (maximal) - depending upon availability of banknote denominations in ATM.
However, despite that cash withdrawal transactions can be repeated during a day, the daily transactions amount cannot exceed the daily limit established for a payment card in question.
- What maximal amount can be deposited at Swedbank ATM?

One can deposit at Swedbank ATM up to 30 LTL-denominated banknotes in a single operation. Swedbank ATMs accept the following LTL denominations: 20, 50, 100, 200 and 500. Foreign currency banknotes are not accepted.
- What to do in the event that Swedbank' ATM does not withdraw the funds but the funds have already been debited from your card account?

- call Swedbank (by dialing 1884 or +370 5 268 4444 if you have Electronic service agreement with the Bank);
- send message via internet bank;
- visit Swedbank branch and initiate a written claim concerning failure of cashwithdrawal transaction at the Bank's ATM (have a passport or other ID document with you too).
- What to do if Swedbank ATM captures a payment card or card was left by cardholder at ATM?

- visit Swedbank branch and file an application for replacement of the payment card (have a passport or other ID document with you too).
- What to do if a payment card is blocked by ATM following the incorrect PIN tries exeeded?

For ATMs transactions, one has three tries for the entering correct card PIN. After third incorrect entering of the PIN, the card will be blocked. To activate a payment card, one has to perform the following actions:
- call to Swedbank (by dialing 1884 or +370 5 268 4444 if the cardholder is a user of electronic services provided to the account, to which the payment card is linked to);
- send message via internet bank;
- file an application in Swedbank branch.
- What to do if you want to change standard daily transactions limits set for payment card?

To increase such limits, the account holder is supposed:
- to file an application over-the counter at Swedbank branch (if he/she wants to increase them to the highest size allowed by the Bank);
- to apply for it over the phone (dialing 1884 or +370 5 268 4444) or file an application via internet bank if he/she wants to increase purchase and withdrawal limits to VISA Electron and Maestro cards up to LTL 15,000 (fifteen thousand Litas) and LTL 7,000 (seven thousand Litas) respectively.
If a cardholder wants to decrease the above mentioned limits, he/she can do it in three ways: by coming to Swedbank branch and filing an application; filing and sending an application via internet bank; applying for it over the phone (by dialing 1884 or +370 5 268 4444).
Alteration of the standard daily card transactions limits can be initiated only by a holder of the account, which a payment card in question is linked to.
- Is it possible to change payment card's functionality?

Yes, it is. To this end, a cardholder is supposed to file a written application over-the-counter at Swedbank branch, send a request via internet bank or call to Swedbank (by dialing 1884 or +370 5 268 4444) specifying in it (at his/her sole discretion) any functionality or combination of functionalities offered by Swedbank.
Currently, Swedbank offers the following types of card functionalities:
- purchases of goods and servines;
- cash withdrawals;
- bill payments - paying of Omnitel and Bite mobile telephone operators' bills and pre-paid mobile phone accounts, Extra, Labas, Pildyk and M via ATMs (using for this purpose all payment cards except Fixed monthly payment credit card, Swedbank/Maxima and Business credit cards);
- balance enquiry at ATM's;
- mini statement of account at ATM's.
- Is a payment card needed for withdrawing cash over the counter at Swedbank branch?

No, it is not. All cardholders can withdraw cash from bank accounts in Swedbank branches without using their payment cards.
- What charges are applied for withdrawing of cash over-the-counter at Swedbank branches?

- In which currency can card transactions be performed?
-
The currency of payment cards shall be the litas, therefore sufficient balance of funds in litas must be in the account linked with the card irrespective of currency in which transactions are performed in Lithuania or abroad. If funds in the account are in another currency, they may be converted via the internet bank internet bank or in the nearest Swedbank branch.
- What cards are accepted for purchases via Internet?

Accepted are all credit cards. However, certain e-commerce merchants may have certain preferences.

- Can other members of my family use my bank account?

Yes, they can if the Bank had been issued to them additional cards (except Fixed monthly payment credit card, Swedbank/Maxima credit cards and Youth program "ZOOM" cards).
- What to do if you have lost a card or your card has been stolen?

Call to Swedbank by dialing 1884 or +370 5 268 4444 immediately and at any time. After receiving the notice the Bank will then block the lost or stolen card and replace a card to you in the following cases:
- if you ask for replacement of the lost or stolen card over the phone (by dialing 1884 or +370 5 268 4444 if you have Electronic service agreement with the Bank);
- if you ask for replacement of the lost or stolen card sending message via the internet bank;
- if you file a written application for the replacement of the lost or stolen payment card at Swedbank branch.
- How to dispute the card transaction?

A cardholder is supposed to come to Swedbank branch (taking a passport or other ID document) and provide a written claim concerning disputed transaction. The claim should be provided within 60 calendar days from the transaction date.
The claims for disputed transactions at Swedbank ATM's can be provided:
- by calling Swedbank (by dialing 1884 or +370 5 268 4444, if you have Electronic service agreement with the Bank);
- by sending message via internet bank.
- How to inquire of an account balance?

You may enquire the balance of your payment card account via Swedbank ATMs, the internet bank, Mobile Bank, Telephone Banking or Automatic Service facilities.
- Is it required to show a document when you make purchase transaction?

If transaction amount is higher than certain pre-defined sum, a cardholder may be asked to show his/her ID documents. Such a practice is applied in order to boost the security of cardholders' funds on his/her card account(s).
For card transactions carried out in Lithuania, the abovementioned pre-defined amount stands at LTL 500.
- How a payment card is renewed?

Your payment card is valid until its expiry date personalised on the card.
If your bank account is in credit sufficient for the renewal of payment card, and your refusal to renew a card has not been registered with the Bank, a renewed card will be produced to you automatically. The annual card handling fee will be debited to your account automatically too. You are supposed to take the renewed card over-the-counter at the Swedbank branch that you had indicated earlier.
If you do not want to renew your card, please give a 30-day notice over-the-phone (by dialing 1884 or +370 5 268 4444).
- When can you take the renewed card?

Renewed cards can be picked up at Swedbank branch within last week of validity of payment card in question or later.
Renewed main and supplementary debit cards could be sent via mail. You could order this service via internet bank. The instruction to order the service you can find here.
- Can the renewed card contain an old PIN?

Yes, it is. A renewed card has a new card number but retains the old card PIN.
- Can the renewed card be taken by a person other than the cardholder?

Cards are issued to persons, whose names had been personalised on the front of issued cards. To take a renewed card, one has to show one of the following documents: passport issued in Lithuania; personal ID document; plastic driving license issued in Lithuania (containing the holder's personal code and signature sample); officiary Lithuanian passport or temporary Living Permission.
- Is it possible to get a supplementary card?

Funds existing on a cardholder's account or credit limits established by the Bank can be used by members of the cardholder's family or other persons if additional cards issued to them had been linked to the card account in question. Card agreement must be signed both by the cardholder and an account holder.
- What is a chip card?

Chip cards have microchips containing additional personal data which are verified every time a cardholder makes purchases or cash withdraws transactions.
- How to make purchase transaction with chip cards?
-
If you use chip cards at points of sale (POS) where:
- installed are chip-capable POSs, you are supposed to enter your PIN;
- chip-capable POS has not yet been installed, you are supposed to confirm transactions with signature only.
- What is important to know about chip card PIN?

If a cardholder pays for his/her goods and services by chip cards at chip-capable POS, he/she has 5 (five) attempts for the entering of right PIN. Therefore, five failed attempts to enter right PIN will always trigger off the blocking of the microchip leaving his/her card useless for transactions in chip card reading devices.
- the blocking of chip is undertaken for security reasons only, i.e. to prevent other persons' access to lost cards;
- to de-block chip card's, one has either to use ATM for the entering of his/her right PIN or apply for replacement of the blocked chip card. For replacement of old cards, the Bank charges a fee.
For replacing the blocked chip card, a cardholder must take one of the following actions:
- call to Swedbank (by dialing 1884 or +370 5 268 4444, if you have Electronic service agreement with the Bank);
- send message via internet bank;
- visit Swedbank branch to file an application for the replacment of the payment card in question.
- Does a cardholder have to sign in a purchase receipt if the purchase transaction has been confirmed by PIN?
